My sense of identity was stolen when I blindly submitted to the detrimental spirit of rejection and unforgiveness. I lived in the toxic posture of victimhood for years and it was literally leaving me bitter and unhappy. When I asked God to show me who I was outside of a “broken mirror,” He told me to write.

Write out my hurts, my disappointments, and the trifling things I participated in to take full accountability, in order for God to fully heal me. It was indeed time for me to commit to healing intentionally. Accountability precedes healing This book reflects my personal journey of silent screams, shame, and secrets that I experienced as a teenager.

It reveals the path that led me into darkness at a young age, revealing my truths and transparency in hopes of others recognizing that they are not alone. This book is a piece of my story, uncut and raw, that will help others find their worth, bring a sense of relatability or belongingness to teens and young adults, and serve as a conversation starter between mothers and daughters. It will help fathers look for the signs of abuse in their daughters and plant seeds that will initiate readers to get to know God more for themselves so self-love can begin.
